Role Description
Mick is looking for a Head of Artist D2C Marketing to join the team.
As Mick’s artist merchandise business continues to scale, we’re seeking a senior marketing leader to drive the direct-to-consumer (D2C) strategy across our roster. This is a pivotal time at Mick as we deepen our investment in eCommerce, fan engagement, and brand-building across all artist platforms. We’re looking for someone who’s both creative and data-driven, someone who can turn artist vision into a compelling product, and drive real revenue through smart marketing, storytelling, and digital innovation.
This person will have a high-impact role shaping the entire D2C operation - from building out marketing and promotional strategies for product drops and tours to optimizing the digital shopping experience and increasing conversion rates. This is a rare opportunity to build and lead a merchandising function that’s deeply embedded with our artists’ brands and career development.
Qualifications
Leading and optimizing all D2C ecommerce platforms, including artist web stores (Shopify) and third-party channels.
Developing full-funnel digital marketing campaigns to drive sales, fan engagement, and repeat traffic.
Partnering closely with artist managers, creative teams, and external stakeholders to integrate merch into overall brand strategy.
Creating go-to-market plans for music releases, tours, and special events, ensuring merch strategies are aligned with key career moments.
Monitoring industry trends and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities and keep our offerings innovative.
Overseeing merchandising performance analytics and reporting to inform future strategies and decisions.
Helping develop the broader eCommerce infrastructure, tools, and team needed to scale D2C across our roster.
About You
Experience Requirements
8+ years in artist merchandising, e-commerce, or a related field
Proven track record of building and scaling direct-to-consumer marketing and sales initiatives
Experience working closely with creative stakeholders
Skills
Deep expertise in Shopify and other eCommerce platforms
Strong command of digital marketing strategy - paid, owned, and earned media
Analytical mindset with experience in performance tracking and conversion optimization
Strong visual sensibility and understanding of brand development
Understanding of live touring and event merchandising logistics is a plus
Strategic thinker who can zoom out and see the big picture, but also dive deep into execution
Creative, fan-focused marketer who can tell compelling stories through product
Highly collaborative with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Curious, resourceful, and always looking to innovate
Passionate about music, culture, and artist development
