This role coordinates maintenance, laundry, and housekeeping to provide a safe and pleasant environment for residents and ensures corrective and preventative maintenance is completed efficiently and effectively. Under established policies and procedures, coordinates all maintenance, laundry, and housekeeping functions to provide a safe and pleasant environment for residents. Ensures that corrective and preventative maintenance is completed efficiently and effectively. Responsibilities
Directly responsible for the daily operations of the laundry, housekeeping, and maintenance departments Maintain compliance with local, state and OSHA requirements as they relate to housekeeping, laundry and maintenance Perform preventative and corrective maintenance functions Implement and document the laundry, housekeeping, and maintenance program Assist in planning, preparation and inventory control of supplies, equipment and repairs budget; maintain departments within budgetary guidelines Implement and manage company policy and standards Coordinate safety inspections and reports (Fire Marshal, Health Department, Insurance, Service Contractors) Facilitate Safety Committee, schedule meetings, report findings to Executive Director and Quality & Assurance team Instruct housekeeping and laundry staff in proper use of equipment and chemicals Maintain an ongoing quality assurance program; train staff on chemical usage and review MSDS Assist sales and marketing as needed Prepare and coordinate daily cleaning schedules and assign tasks Maintain on-site inventory of supplies within budget Participate in Manager on Duty program Supervise laundry, housekeeping, and maintenance staff (performance evaluation, discipline, onboarding, ongoing training) Ensure staff are trained on operation of facility equipment/systems (emergency electrical, fire alarm, alarms, detectors, procedures, phone systems, etc.) Initiate, coordinate and monitor services by contractors in consultation with the Executive Director Ensure timely room turnover Attend department supervisor meetings and resolve resident housekeeping, laundry and maintenance issues with residents and families Maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality Must be a strong team player and able to work under pressure with multiple tasks and deadlines Strong organizational, time management, problem solving, and interpersonal skills Maintain confidentiality to meet HIPAA and Morningside House standards Serve on Safety Committees with recommendations related to housekeeping, laundry and maintenance Perform daily facility inspections for safety and cleanliness Perform repairs initiated by daily maintenance requests Conduct daily exterior grounds inspections and coordinate upkeep as directed Requirements
