Inventory Management and Supply Distribution Analyst
Under general supervision of the Site Managers, Materials Management, responsible for the management and maintenance of the materials management storeroom inventory maintenance, nursing and acute department decentralized inventory location maintenance. This role is the primary point of contact for the software programs that streamline various supply chain tasks, including ordering, requisitions, and restocking; improving supply chain staff productivity. The Inventory and Distribution Analyst helps ensure supply availability and satisfaction by providing expertise in the implementation, training, and ongoing support of PeopleSoft inventory maintenance, PAR Excellence inventory management solutions and the optimization of the inventory levels. This individual will act as a key resource for materials management, procurement and nursing, helping maintain inventory locations and utilize the PAR Excellence system to optimize workflows, improve efficiency, and achieve supply chain goals. This role collaborates with the Supply Chain systems team and the larger Supply Chain team to optimize inventory and distribution processes across the health system for clinical teams. Overview
Position objective: Under general supervision of the Site Managers, Materials Management, responsible for the management and maintenance of the materials management storeroom inventory maintenance, nursing and acute department decentralized inventory location maintenance. This role is the primary point of contact for software programs that streamline supply chain tasks, including ordering, requisitions, and restocking; improving supply chain staff productivity. The role supports implementation, training, and ongoing support of PeopleSoft inventory maintenance, PAR Excellence inventory management solutions and optimization of inventory levels. Essential Job Duties

Serve as the primary point of contact for PeopleSoft inventory maintenance/management. Responsible for cycle counting, inventory bin maintenance including bin labeling and re-order point establishment which drives accurate auto-replenishment order creation in PeopleSoft. Serve as the primary point of contact for PAR Excellence weighted bin inventory management program and supporting software for AAMC and DCMC campuses. Optimize inventory management supporting real-time tracking and automation weight-based inventory solution; support hand-held technologies and any newly acquired RFID technology and electronic shelf labels enabling real-time tracking of medical supplies. Analyze and optimize decentralized inventory PAR levels, ensuring timely replenishment and minimizing the risk of shortages that can impact patient care. Support manual inventory tasks such as cycle counts and use of hand-held devices to streamline ordering and receiving processes. Develop a deep understanding of data analytics and reporting capabilities available through PAR Excellence, PAR health reports, and work with Materials Management managers to optimize system use. Utilize reporting tools to provide insights into usage patterns, identify cost-saving opportunities, and inform inventory level and staffing decisions to meet demand. Responsible for storeroom and nursing par inventory room design and maintenance to maximize storage effectiveness and clinician satisfaction; collaborate with clinical staff to improve supply chain support and PAR level storage areas. Create queries using available reporting tools (e.g., PAR Vision) and other reporting sets. Monitor, research, and determine root cause of PAR Excellence transaction failures; communicate with impacted parties and ensure orders transmit correctly with supply chain teammates. Assist with data integrity issues and resolution of issues within supply chain system databases. Educational/Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Supply Chain, Business, Information Technology or a related field is required. 2 years applicable experience required; healthcare-related supply chain background and inventory/distribution experience preferred. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel or reporting/spend analysis systems required. Additional experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
