a key member of the Global Biopharma Business Team. As the Product Manager, you will be part of a dynamic and innovative environment, leading cross-functional teams to drive new customer acquisition and develop/launch products and commercial strategies aligned with the company’s vision and strategy. You will be responsible for all business aspects of the
Nova Biomedical BioProfile FLEX portfolio , including meeting top line growth and profitability targets. The Product Manager is a highly commercial person, passionate about delivering best-in-class products and solutions to the biopharma industry. This is a highly collaborative role, with extremely close partnership and communication with R&D, Production, Service, Sales, and Marketing. The role requires extensive customer collaboration and workflow understanding to ensure the delivery of a customer centric, highly successful product line and future roadmap. In addition to having a strong understanding of cell culture and upstream biopharma workflows and market dynamics, you will have a deep understanding of customer workflow pain points. You will be responsible for articulating the customer needs, product line vision and roadmap to drive a compelling value proposition for short and long-term revenue growth. More specific responsibilities will include: PRODUCT LIFE CYCLE MANAGEMENT: Accountable for Supporting the Commercial Sales Targets Sales Work with regional leaders to produce global product line projections & budget (units, revenue, product mix, ASP, GM). Identify 12-month revenue drivers & market focus. Execute tactical and commercial initiatives to drive product line growth and profitability with sales & marketing. Develop new product training, competitive positioning, and ongoing support of the direct and indirect sales organizations (questions of the discovery phase, features into benefits, answer to objections, etc.) Support commercial organization to deliver revenue commitments by;
Conducting product demonstrations. Ensuring close communication with our salespeople and our customers to understand the needs for new product introductions and product improvements, as well as the key strengths and weaknesses of our competitors and the emergence of new competitors. Providing responsive support to Sales organization regarding product information requests.
Build a network of centers of excellence to advocate for our technology. Marketing Support the development & execution of the marketing plan in collaboration with the marketing team. Work with relevant colleagues to develop product promotions and campaigns and track effectiveness. Develop and produce relevant sales and support materials for all products using colleague support where available. Product Support Assist with the resolution of product issues and queries where applicable via the relevant teams, process improvement and documentation. MARKET ANALYSIS: Accountable for Gathering Marketing (Customer & Competitor) Intelligence Conduct relevant market research to identify key opportunities for product development and business development to drive compelling value proposition, and deliver best-in-class product value by; Using proven research methodologies to conduct in-depth VOC Attending relevant conferences. To enable prioritization of opportunities and assist product development, identify, understand, and disseminate internally: workflow pain points, product/portfolio gaps, customer needs, market dynamics, market sizing, and industry data. Gather customer and sales feedback on a regular basis via reports, regular meetings and any other relevant means and report back regularly to internal teams. Carry out regular competition research and analysis. Understand and communicate competitive landscape, responding to competitive opportunities and threats and report findings internally. PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT & LAUNCH: Responsible for Supporting & Driving the Development of Product Improvements, New Products, and Product Launch Development Develop the business case for new products, features, and applications with evidence relating to demand, market viability and technical viability. Translate product strategy into detailed customer requirements for quick time-to-market development and prioritize product line roadmap. Write product requirements based on customer/market input. Support R&D/development with the requirements by answering any questions & prioritizing features. Support R&D in the design of new generation products (new product introduction) and improvement of our existing products. Work closely with the project management team for high level project management, ensuring milestones are agreed, captured, and met. Launch Develop and drive product launch and go-to marketing strategy with support from cross functional internal teams, including R&D, marketing, sales, engineering, operations, supply chain, finance, and executive staff members. Develop clear market focused value propositions and product positioning for new products, features, applications, and target markets. Work with the relevant teams (Operations, Finance) to define product pricing (price lists, pricing tactics, margins, competitor pricing). Working with appropriate departments, develop all relevant product collateral and content (user guides, instructions for use, marketing materials etc.) to support the product portfolio. PORTFOLIO DEVELOPMENT: Accountable for Providing Product Strategy Direction (5-year horizon) Develop and define 5-year product/portfolio roadmap strategy with input from the market intelligence and functional partners to guide R&D product development. Own, have oversight and communicate short, medium, and long-term product/portfolio roadmaps in collaboration with R&D in conjunction with customer requirements and internal technical feedback. Build a market model for portfolio and future revenue streams. KPIs Product line revenue and profitability. Execution of growth initiatives. Delivery of successful product launch strategy. Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree is required; MBA (or equivalent) a plus. 5+ years of proven product management experience, with a strong emphasis on biopharmaceutical markets and technologies. Minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience in Cell Culture or Fermentation Process Development, either in laboratory research or manufacturing environments. Proven background in biotechnology development. In-depth knowledge of nutrient, metabolite, gas analysis, and cell counting systems used in biotechnology applications. Strong familiarity with pharmaceutical industry standards, including Quality Control (QC), Quality Assurance (QA), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and FDA validation protocols. Proficient in statistical data analysis and interpretation. Must be willing and able to travel domestically and internationally as required 25% - 30%. Outstanding interpersonal skills/leadership skills. Able to lead and influence others – technically and commercially focused both - tenacious and driven to succeed. Strong technical and business credibility with the organization and customers. Ability to present high-level information to multiple audiences, including scientists, executives, and non-scientists. Excellent presentation, communication and influencing skills. Familiarity with regulatory drivers facing biopharma laboratories. Experienced presenting business opportunities and ROI to senior leadership and investment committees. Proven business and financial planning necessary. Track record in successful product launch; and long-term revenue growth. Travel to customers, sales training, exhibitions, and seminars depending on business needs.
