Overview
Compliance Operations & Training Lead, Compliance & Control, S&P Global Ratings. This role focuses on designing, managing, and tracking global compliance training programs, while supporting key operational initiatives across the department. The position reports to the Global Chief Matrix Officer for Ratings Compliance & Risk. Responsibilities
Lead the design, delivery, and tracking of compliance training programs for S&G Global Ratings, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and regulatory standards. Partner with subject matter experts, the Ratings learning team, business leaders, and external vendors to create tailored training content that addresses current and emerging compliance needs. Anticipate training needs by monitoring policy changes and coordinating with corporate/divisional training teams to maintain proactive compliance readiness. Track completion of mandatory courses, ensuring timely compliance across the organization and maintaining high standards of operational efficiency. Support the annual risk assessment and align training to identified risk areas, leveraging insights to enhance program effectiveness. Assist department leadership with presentations, communications, and employee engagement initiatives to foster a culture of compliance and continuous improvement. Manage reporting of training activity, regulatory commitments, and management action plans, ensuring transparency and accountability. Provide clear, concise updates to senior executives, audit, and the board, demonstrating strategic insight and operational acumen. What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)
8+ years of relevant experience in financial services, regulatory consulting, with knowledge of regulatory frameworks and industry best practices. Experience in compliance, risk, and financial services, with strong communication skills to influence and collaborate across functions. Creative thinker who can develop innovative training approaches that enhance learning and compliance outcomes. Detail-oriented project manager able to balance competing priorities and deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards. Experience engaging with senior stakeholders, demonstrating leadership and initiative. Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree or legal training a plus). Strong interpersonal, presentation, and relationship management skills. Analytical, organized, and self-motivated, with the ability to work under pressure and deliver results. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Right to Work Requirements:
