Overview

We are seeking an experienced

Senior Regional Construction Scheduler

to support a large-scale facilities construction program in Los Angeles. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong background in project controls and construction scheduling, preferably in public works or educational facility projects.

Key Responsibilities

Report directly to the Sr. Construction Manager for Scheduling & Estimating and provide updates/reports for upper management.

Supervise and mentor project schedulers, ensuring timelines are met while coordinating with OARs, Senior Project Managers, site staff, and contractors.

Forecast project staffing needs and make recommendations to executive staff.

Develop and maintain program schedules, identifying logic, milestones, and constraints across multiple project types.

Review contractor baseline schedules for accuracy, proper sequencing, and scope ; provide detailed written feedback.

Perform QA/QC reviews of contractor submittals for compliance, critical path analysis, cost/resource loading, recovery schedules, and milestones.

Conduct

Time Impact Analysis (TIA)

for change orders, negotiate schedule impacts with contractors and OARs.

Read and interpret construction drawings (Architectural, Structural, MEP, Civil) to confirm scope and contractual alignment.

Perform

Critical Path

and

Earned Value Analysis (EVA) .

Monitor contractor schedule progress on-site, prepare status reports, and present updates to project leadership.

Communicate schedule-related issues in weekly status meetings and other forums.

Provide bi-monthly status updates to Master/Program schedules.

Prepare ad hoc reports as directed by management.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience:

Minimum 8 years of full-time professional experience in construction scheduling for an Owner or General Contractor (educational facilities or public works experience strongly ).

Proficiency in

Primavera (latest version)

and

MS Office Suite .

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management; OR

Bachelor’s degree in another field

plus 2 additional years

of relevant scheduling experience.

Skills:

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent organizational and planning abilities.

Ability to develop effective working relationships with project teams and stakeholders.

Knowledge of cost engineering, scheduling methodologies, and schedule forensics.
