Resident Services

The Resident Service member will work directly with residents to foster engagement, share resources, and create a more connected and resilient community. Key efforts include organizing resident meetings, events, and outreach activities that keep the community informed and involved. The program supports clear communication between residents and staff through newsletters, flyers, SMS updates, and mailings including updates related to ongoing development and construction projects. Root and Rise also emphasizes sustainability and education, working alongside Sabin's Strategic Energy Management team to promote energy efficiency and green living through workshops and events. Additional initiatives include volunteer-led programs like Furnish-A-Change and Pass-It-On Days, a monthly food pantry, clothing drives, financial wellness workshops, and emergency preparedness training. New residents receive tailored support during their transition into Sabin housing, including resource navigation and personal outreach during their first month. The program also maintains an updated community resource directory and manages the resident services webpage, ensuring access to essential tools and information.
