Resident Services Coord.-RuralEdge/VHCB

RuralEdge is seeking an organized, skilled communicator to work effectively with staff and clients from a variety of economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds with varying physical and mental abilities. The Resident Services Coordinator will support the resident services program and provide critical supportive services for residents RuralEdge strengthens Northeast Kingdom communities one home at a time. RuralEdge envisions Northeast Kingdom communities where every individual can live in stable, affordable housing with access to the services they need to live a healthy and prosperous life. This position is part of the Vermont Housing & Conservation Board AmeriCorps (VHCB AmeriCorps). The VHCB AmeriCorps program supports the innovative dual-goal approach to creating stable affordable housing opportunities for Vermont residents while preserving the natural and working landscape. This position is Full Time: Requires 1,720 hours for an average of 40 hours per week for 47 weeks. Member will receive a living allowance of $30,500 (pre-tax) for the service term. Member will receive an education award of $7,395 (pre-tax) upon successful completion of service.

Member Duties :

• Conduct onsite coordination of residential services at large multi-family housing developments. • Develop and host monthly resident gatherings with goal of increasing attendance and participation. • Organize and maintain community gardens. • Develop and coordinate volunteer program. • Conduct resident surveys. • Represent RuralEdge at community partner meetings as needed. • Facilitate intake and triage process for clients seeking assistance with financial counseling programs; includes application assistance, information gathering, and uploading relevant documentation. • Create and deliver online workshops, informational sessions, outreach materials highlighting Shared Equity Homeownership. • Conduct outreach efforts to promote the HomeOwneship Center • Participate in an Independent Service Project and in all VHCB AmeriCorps Trainings, Service Days, Events, and Program Initiatives. • Engage in professional and personal development activities and networking opportunities.
