Overview

UnityPoint Health is actively recruiting for an Occupational Medicine Physician to join our team in Des Moines, IA

UnityPoint Health® at Work provides a full spectrum of high-quality health care services for employers and their employees. From primary care, occupational health, injury prevention, and health coaching to mental health services, UnityPoint at Work can provide total population health management for employees across the healthcare continuum. At Work is applying industry best practices and new technologies to deliver high value services for our clients and our communities.

General:

Established and growing practice

Medical Directorship with dedicated Admin time

3 Clinics in the metro area: Current providers: 3 Physicians and 3 APPs

Experienced staff, both clinical and non-clinical who know the patients extremely well

Monday through Friday 8am -5pm

Additional details by request from group

Responsibilities

Average patients/day: 18-22

No call, weekends, or holidays

Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical, and problem-solving skills

Common visits include: DOT physicals, pre-employment screenings, 411 physicals

Do NOT do disability exams

Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve

Provide the best outcome for every patient every time

Qualifications

MD or DO

Board Eligible or Board Certified in Occupational Medicine

Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa

Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician’s field of practice

Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
