Under the supervision of the Laboratory Manager the Laboratory Supervisor provides first line supervision over the technical and operational staff in a defined laboratory area.

Provides personnel and staffing oversight for a limited area of the lab.

Supervises staff technical and professional performance.

Maintains a positive and professional work environment.

Investigates documents and resolves problems and complaints.

Provides backup support for Department Manager.

Performs laboratory test procedures.

In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Clinical Laboratory Scientist

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Compliance with the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act & Amendments (CLIA)

Experience: 3 years relevant experience

License/Certification: Medical Technologist or categorical, ASCP or equivalent

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires sitting, standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, bending/stooping and reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive); Repetitive motion: computer use. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, noise, radiation (in limited specific areas), blood/body fluids and infectious disease.

Position Compensation Range: $66,528.00 - $133,057.00 Annual
