A Westside financial services firm is looking for a Senior Staff Accountant to join their team. In this Senior Staff Accountant role, the individual would be responsible for reconciliations, financial reporting, operational accounting, and supporting compliance. To be successful in this role, the Senior Staff Accountant will need to be detail-oriented, trustworthy, and have great presentation.
Requirements for this Senior Staff Accountant role:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field 2-4 years of accounting experience Advanced Excel Responsibilities in this Senior Staff Accountant role:
Perform detailed reconciliations and analyses for bank, brokerage, loan, and intercompany accounts, including support in setting up and managing these accounts. Oversee daily accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Prepare journal entries in accordance with monthly closing timelines and accounting standards. Maintain and update recurring schedules for amortization, accruals, and other financial adjustments. Work closely with the team to compile and deliver monthly financial reporting packages for management review. Support the billing process for affiliated entities. Maintain and enhance documentation of accounting procedures to uphold internal controls and policy compliance. Provide assistance during financial audits, tax filings, regulatory compliance processes, and other business operations. Participate in various special projects and initiatives as assigned.
