Job Summary
The Clinic Supervisor I will supervise between 20-30 employees. The Clinic Supervisor I has responsibility for the supervision and daily operations of their assigned Corporate Sponsored Practices. This includes hiring, evaluating, counseling and termination of non-provider personnel. Provides ongoing Quality Improvement monitoring and ensures safe and efficient patient care to the clinic patients of all ages that present to the clinic, and ensures office staff is competent to perform patient care. The Clinic Supervisor I directs staff in following established policies and procedures for registration of patients and coordinates patient flow between front and back office personnel.
Duties
Overseeing daily operations, optimizing processes, managing resources, ensuring quality control, developing strategies and leading teams to achieve organizational goals Be present in clinics on a routine basis Developing strategies to improve financial stability Interpret and communicate updated policies and procedures to staff in a timely manner Establishes adequate staff to ensure timely patient visits per established guidelines Establishes and maintains open and effective communication with all members of the staff Posts work schedule for clinics Reviews and authorizes time cards daily Ensures established inventory standards for all supplies and equipment Problem solves effectively Maintains a safe patient and work environment Responds to and handles patient complaints Daily O.R. case audits Business office Portal corrections Understand how to run query reports in Putty Identify/understand all job duties and classifications with in the clinics Clinic Supervisor I will work with the Lead Supervisor to select, promote and terminate non-provider staff within the guidelines of the hospital policies Financial Accountability
Plan and operate within the approved budget Adjust staffing levels based on established hours per visit standard, monitor provider volume and no shows daily Run and review Daily Flash daily Monitor and approve staff overtime, missed meal penalty on a daily basis Identified budget variances and provides justification and/or corrective action for budget variances Creates, initiates and evaluates improvements to better utilize personnel and resources Participates actively in overall hospital cost management programs Review OP ANSB report, correct and educate staff
Maintains Organizational Relationships
Identifies problems and communicates solutions to appropriate personnel and departments
Maintains on-going communications with Directors, Chief Medical Officer OP and Clinic Supervisors
Personnel Development
Provides opportunities for growth and development in staff
Encourage attendance to continuing education opportunities Plan in-service programs to facilitate development of personnel
Provides orientation, education and competency of staff members
Responsible for assisting appropriate preceptor and length of orientation Ensures completion of annual competencies for staff Plan with Education Department for in-service on new equipment policies and procedures
Clinic Supervisor I will perform evaluations, guidance and development of non-provider personnel in the clinics Counsel, define roles and set goals concurrently with staff Able to fulfill positions as staff when needed Demonstrates reliability and flexibility
Rarely sick or absent due to personal issues Demonstrates flexibility in work schedule Meets deadlines for assigned projects
Assures clinics comply with all appropriate standards to assure survey ready at all times and be present during surveys QA monitoring and reporting per established guidelines Review job descriptions, policy and procedure yearly and suggest revisions as appropriate. Contribute and hold regular staff meetings Other duties as assigned Other Info:
Lifting Requirements: Infrequent lifting, not more than 20 pounds (with help) and/or carrying objects weighing up to 20 pounds. May be prolonged periods of sitting; moderate amount of walking, stooping and standing.
