Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented
Vice President of Tax
to lead all aspects of tax compliance, planning, and strategy for a private family office. The role encompasses oversight of personal, trust, estate, and entity-level tax matters for the family and related entities. The ideal candidate is a hands-on tax professional with deep technical expertise, experience with ultra-high-net-worth individuals, and a proactive approach to risk management and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee preparation, review, and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, estates, foundations, and corporate entities.
Ensure full compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations, proactively mitigating tax risk.
Manage tax planning and strategy for income, estate, gift, generation-skipping transfer (GST), and charitable giving.
Coordinate with external tax advisors, legal counsel, and financial planners to optimize tax positions and maintain current knowledge of evolving tax legislation.
Maintain a detailed calendar of tax filing deadlines and compliance obligations.
Prepare and review quarterly and annual tax estimates and projections.
Lead the response to tax authority inquiries, audits, and examinations.
Develop and maintain internal tax documentation, controls, and policies.
Provide tax support for investment structuring, transactions, real estate holdings, and private operating businesses.
Advise on tax implications of succession planning, trust structures, and philanthropic endeavors.
