A leading global financial institution is seeking a highly skilled AWS Cloud Developer/Engineer to drive cloud adoption and modernization across its Global Banking and Markets (GBM) division.
As a contractor, you will be part of a high-performing team of professionals within a 12,000+ member global organization, delivering cutting-edge technology and governance solutions for clients and partners.
Responsibilities:
Build AWS-native frameworks to accelerate cloud adoption for developers across GBM. Migrate workloads and codify patterns for scale, resiliency, and compliance. Design and implement Infrastructure-as-Code templates for repeatable deployments. Partner with horizontal/core platform teams (Skyfoundry / Cloud FastTrack) to ensure alignment. Deliver quick wins in the first 8-12 weeks to prove value. Mandatory Requirements:
AWS Hands-On: Strong expertise in core services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation). Infrastructure-as-Code: Proficiency with CloudFormation or Terraform. Programming Background: Solid coding ability in TypeScript (with AWS CDK). Other languages (Java, C#, Golang, Python) are strong additions. Framework Thinking: Ability to design reusable, extensible, and scalable frameworks that multiple teams can adopt across GBM. Outcome-Oriented: Must independently take a vague use case, break it down, and deliver a working solution. Mindset & Work Style
Self-Starter: Able to work independently with minimal supervision. Ownership Mentality: Takes accountability for results, focusing on outcomes rather than hours worked. Trust Builder: Demonstrates reliability and earns stakeholder confidence within the first 3-4 weeks; successful candidates will gain flexibility to work remotely.
