Great Hartford Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic
Commercial Construction Project Manager
to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of commercial construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills to successfully coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities: Plan, coordinate, and oversee all phases of commercial construction projects from pre-construction to closeout. Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective completion. Collaborate with architects, engineers, clients, and subcontractors to define project scope, goals, and deliverables. Monitor construction progress, conduct site visits, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges that may impact project success. Manage subcontractor performance, contracts, and negotiations to maintain quality and efficiency. Ensure compliance with local building codes, permits, and regulations. Maintain detailed project documentation and reports for internal and external stakeholders. Foster strong client relationships and provide regular project updates. Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred. 5+ years of experience in commercial construction project management. Proven track record of managing projects ranging from [$5M-$50M]. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project). Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, contracts, and technical documents. OSHA certification and other relevant industry certifications are a plus. Benefits:
