Your role - Essential responsibilities
Safely load, secure, transport, and offload CarMax vehicles using a company-assigned car hauler.
Ensure timely and precise delivery of vehicles to enhance inventory movement and customer satisfaction.
Operate equipment with a primary focus on safety, efficiency, and cleanliness, maintaining a well-kept truck and trailer.
Adhere to applicable DOT/FMCSA regulations and CarMax policies, including thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
Represent CarMax professionally while interacting with vendors, store associates, and customers.

Qualifications and requirements
Valid state-issued commercial driver's license Class A (CDL) required.
2+ years of Class A CDL driving experience required. Military (Heavy/Medium Tactical Vehicle) experience is also considered.
For current CarMax associates, eligibility includes:
A valid state-issued Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) 2+ years of Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) driving experience at CarMax (non-Class A CMV experience is acceptable) No preventable safety incidents in the last 2 years (validated by the Safety & Compliance Team)
Clean driving record with no serious violations in the past three years; candidates must meet CarMax's Driver Safety Criteria. Ability to meet DOT & FMCSA qualification standards. Capable of lifting heavy objects and winching transported vehicles during loading. Proficient in operating a 10-speed transmission. Willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
