Job Description American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 1 year of PET/CT experience and required certifications to join a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital.
Responsibilities Work in a nuclear medicine department performing PET/CT scans Shift is 5x8 hour days with variable start times between 6:30am and 10:00am and ending between 3:00pm and 7:00pm No holiday shifts are required May be required to work one Saturday every four weeks No on-call or floating to other units or facilities is required Uses Siemens scanners and Epic EMR Adult patient population in a Magnet, Level 1 Trauma, teaching hospital setting First-time travelers are accepted for this position All staff may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November) Scrub colors are teal tops and black pants Parking is available nights and weekends for a one-time fee Block scheduling may be requested but is not guaranteed Previous staff or PRN must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler All requested time off must be declared at application; approval is based on unit needs Local candidates within 60 miles may be considered at a different rate
Requirements Minimum of 1 year experience in nuclear medicine and PET/CT BLS certification required (AHA only) NMTCB(N) or ARRT(N) required NMTCB(CT) or ARRT(R) or (CT) required SCRQSA state license in Nuclear Medicine and Radiology or Computed Tomography required if applicable Experience with Siemens equipment required Radiation badge required (must be supplied by agency) SSN and Driver’s License required for consideration Experience in Level 1 or II trauma setting preferred Epic charting experience preferred
