Job Description American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist with at least 1 year of specialty experience and ARRT Mammography Certification.
Responsibilities Work in a dedicated mammography department within a clinical setting Patient population consists of individuals undergoing diagnostic and screening mammography Performs radiologic mammography exams, including advanced procedures such as stereotactic biopsies, clip placements, and drainages Operate mammography equipment and adhere to radiation safety protocols 4x10 hour day shifts per week Utilizes Epic for EMR charting; Epic experience preferred Responsibilities include identifying patients properly, preparing them for exams, and performing mammography procedures per department protocol Maintain records as required by accrediting organizations and regulatory agencies Expected to work independently, using sound judgment and initiative Must stay current with new mammography procedures and equipment Scrubs or dress code details not specified
Requirements Minimum of 1 year experience in mammography High school diploma or GED required Current ARRT registration and advanced mammography certification required Active state-specific Radiologic Technologist license required if applicable Current AHA BLS certification required Must meet and maintain mammography-specific ACR, FDA, and MQSA requirements Demonstrated competency in positioning and use of mammography equipment Physical ability for lifting, manual dexterity, pulling, pushing, standing, walking, and seeing
