Wekiva Springs Center provides inpatient and outpatient behavioral health and substance abuse treatment for adults and senior adults in Jacksonville, FL, with a 120-bed facility designed to facilitate healing and recovery. The Director of Business Development oversees Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service within the Marketing Department and is responsible for achieving the organization’s utilization goals through effective marketing principles and methods. As a member of the facility management team, the Director participates in discussions on strategic planning, growth opportunities, future projects, program changes, recruitment, and retention. The Director is responsible for the facility’s strategic marketing plan, brand/image enhancement, management of all sales and business development activities, and maintaining proactive, productive relationships with internal departments, communicating issues with the CEO and Director of Admissions/Intake as needed. Hours are based on departmental and facility needs and may include day, evening, and weekend hours as directed by the CEO/Managing Director. Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field is required; Master’s Degree a plus. Combination of education and experience may be considered. Experience:

At least three (3) years’ leadership experience in a health care business development position with extensive community education/business development experience resulting in measurable results, and with direct experience developing managed care agreements (especially with capitation and at-risk areas). Candidates with detailed knowledge of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment principles highly preferred. Five (5) years’ prior marketing and/or sales experience within a behavioral healthcare setting highly preferred. Licensure:

Must have a valid driver’s license with good driving record. Knowledge/Skill:

Knowledge of the Jacksonville metro area behavioral health marketplace, insurance plans, target markets and referral sources, psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment, and age-specific programming. Demonstrated leadership abilities and excellent written and oral communication skills; knowledge of and skills in applying marketing principles (product, placement, pricing, promotion) and management of sales, advertising, social media, online presence, and public relations resources; creativity and flexibility; data collection and analysis; strategic planning; deadlines; customer service; teaching or training skills; willingness to travel, including overnight travel as required.
