Job Title: Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Location: Mid-Atlantic Division

Job Type: Full-Time

Travel: Up to 100%

Salary: Hourly Range: $27.15 - $43.45 and benefit package per Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Duties/Responsibilities/Physical Requirements:

1. Dismantle and reassemble gasoline & diesel equipment using various hand tools and/or hoists.
2. Repair & replace major components, damaged and warn parts.
3. Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment.
4. Determine nature and extent of equipment failures.
5. Identify required repair parts & supplies.
6. Document maintenance and repair work performed.
7. Record parts and supply usage.
8. Access and repair components on heavy equipment with agility.
9. Climb onto, into, and out of equipment using ladders.
10. Work on uneven surfaces, climbing, kneeling, stooping, bending, lifting, pushing/pulling, and reaching frequently.
11. Maintain bodily coordination & dexterity of hands and feet.
12. Ensure quality and timely completion of work as scheduled by the supervisor.
13. Work productively in personal protective equipment in all weather conditions.
14. Perform safety-sensitive tasks.
15. Adhere to Brandenburg's environmental and safety policies.
16. Maintain regular and predictable performance.

Education / Experience:

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent; 1-2 years' experience repairing heavy equipment.

Job Specific Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

1. Responsible and safety-minded.
2. Ability to troubleshoot & analyze equipment malfunctions.
3. Knowledge of testing equipment, tools, and gauges.
4. Basic knowledge of electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
5. Ability to read and implement mobile equipment maintenance manuals.
6. Ability to pass a DOT Physical and obtain a Commercial Drivers' License if not already held.
7. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
8. Good organizational skills, effective communication, and multitasking abilities.
