Full-Time Overview: A respected engineering consultancy is seeking a
Geotechnical Project Manager
to oversee geotechnical investigations and design work for infrastructure and development projects in the Newark area. This role offers a blend of technical leadership, client interaction, and project delivery responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have strong geotechnical experience and be comfortable managing multiple projects from concept through construction. Key Responsibilities: Manage geotechnical engineering projects including site investigations, analysis, and reporting. Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery. Contribute to geotechnical design tasks such as foundation recommendations, retaining structures, and slope stability. Prepare proposals, budgets, and schedules; monitor project performance and profitability. Serve as a technical resource and mentor for junior staff. Maintain strong relationships with clients and support business development efforts. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering. PE license (or ability to obtain in NJ) preferred. 6+ years of geotechnical engineering experience, including project management. Strong understanding of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and geotechnical design. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
