Ideal Candidate :

We are seeking a Field Safety Manager with 7+ years of field safety experience to join in our success.

Applicants in industrial construction will be considered a plus.

What you’ll do :

The Field Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs and practices to ensure a safe working environment for employees and to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. This position works closely with field personnel, management, and regulatory agencies to promote a culture of safety and minimize workplace incidents.

· Safety Program Development: o Assist with the development of safety policies and procedures in alignment with industry standards and regulations. o Collaborate with Project Management team in the design and implementation of site-specific safety plans and safety action plans. o Conduct job site safety orientations and on-site training programs. o Design and implement safety training programs for employees and contractors. o Assist with safety pre-qualification of subcontractors.

· Compliance: o Ensure compliance with local, state and federal safety regulations and standards. o Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and address potential hazards. o If required by the Project Contract, manage OCIP (Owner Controlled Insurance Program) Process.

· Incident Prevention: o Identify potential safety risks and develop strategies to prevent accidents and injuries. o Implement Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) plans and communicate to on-site workers. o Investigate workplace incidents and accidents, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions. o Conduct work area surveillance inspections and air sampling tests for confined space entry, property damage, and personal injury investigations. · Safety Training: o Conduct safety training sessions, toolbox talks, etc. for employees and trade workers to promote awareness and safe work practices. o Provide guidance on the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

· Emergency Response: o Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures. o Coordinate and lead emergency drills and exercises as necessary. · Safety Communication: o Communicate safety-related information to all levels of the organization. o Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies and represent the company during inspections.

· Risk Assessment: o Perform risk assessments and safety evaluations of new projects, equipment, or processes. o Recommend and implement safety improvements based on risk assessments. o Accompany all safety, health, and insurance inspectors on walk-through tours. o Coordinate/assist in preparing written appeals for safety violations.

· Documentation: o Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents, training sessions, and inspections. o Document all accidents, safety violations, and unsafe conditions/activities. o Issue confined area entry and "hot work" permits as required. o Prepare reports on safety performance and metrics. o Generate daily and weekly safety reports, inspections, and other applicable safety correspondence in Procore in accordance with DBK SOPs. o Assist with 3rd party safety sites (ISNetworld, Avetta, RailPros, etc..) for compliance with owner qualifications.

· Safety Culture Promotion: o Foster a culture of safety awareness and responsibility among all employees. o Encourage reporting of safety concerns and near-miss incidents.

What skills you will need :

Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field or at least 7 years of experience in safety-related construction positions. 7+ years of relevant experience in safety management. Professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), or others are a plus. Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards, including OSHA regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Analytical and problem-solving abilities. Leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate safety teams. Proficiency in using safety management software and tools. Procore experience is a plus. Working knowledge of standard Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Experience with safety training. OSHA-30 certification (Trainer preferred). First Aid and CPR Certifications. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
