Siegel & Strain Architects
We are seeking an architectural designer to contribute to design and production on project teams of 3-6 architects. The ideal candidate is a good communicator, curious, self-motivated, detail-oriented, reliable, and skilled at collaborating with others.

Required Qualifications and Skills: ·
A degree in architecture from an accredited architecture program ·
3 to 7 years of experience in architecture offices ·
Strong graphic design skills and ability to research, problem solve, and iterate design solutions ·
Working experience with Revit and Adobe Suite ·
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills ·
Experience preparing presentation drawings ·
Experience preparing construction documents
Valued
Qualifications and Skills: ·
Experience working with California building codes ·
Experience working on Type V and wood frame construction ·
Experience on community-serving projects for non-profit and public clients ·
Sustainable design experience or proficiency in energy, daylighting or similar modeling/analysis ·
Progress toward licensure and accreditations such as LEED ·
Strong writing skills

We are looking for a fulltime employee who is available 40 hours per week. ·
Typical office hours fall between 8:30 am and 6:00 pm ·
Mandatory in-office workdays are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. All staff have the option of working remotely on Mondays and Fridays. ·
Salary range is $65-85k, depending on skills and years of experience. ·
Benefits include healthcare, life insurance, 401k retirement plan, professional development allowance, licensure bonus, family leave supplement, and commuter benefits. ·
We offer 15 days of personal time off and nine holidays annually. ·
Full-time employees can opt for an alternative work week option that allows an 8.5-hour workday in exchange for an additional 15 days off each year.
