A client is looking for a structural E.I.T to join their team in Dallas, TX. This position is with a global leader in recreational equipment. The ideal candidate will have the below information.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Perform structural computations for the design of tensile membrane structures using design software and Excel spreadsheets, adhering to approved structural design standards and procedures.
Conduct wind analysis per
ASCE 7
and design drilled shafts and footings per
ACI 318 . Design steel connections using
IDEA StatiCa
software. Model tensile membrane structures in
RFEM (3D finite element software) ,
RISA 3D , and other tools using appropriate
ASD
and/or
LRFD
load combinations. Design base plates and anchor bolts using
Hilti PROFIS Engineering
software. Revise models and reports based on city reviewer comments.
Create and interpret analysis models for 3D structural frames. Calculate applicable loads in accordance with relevant building codes. Assist in preparing design drawings, calculation reports, and 3D CAD models. Demonstrate familiarity with structural design and detailing of concrete and steel components.
Education, Experience, and Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required; Master's Degree with a focus on structural engineering preferred. 1-3 years of experience in steel and concrete design. Proficient in
ASCE ,
ACI , and
AISC
code standards. FE/EIT
certification required. Completed coursework in structural analysis, advanced steel design, and advanced reinforced concrete. Strong project management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment. Consistent and reliable attendance record.
Working Conditions
Standard office environment; occasional exposure to noise when working near production areas. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Physical requirements: frequent sitting, hand use, talking, and hearing; occasional lifting/moving of up to 25 pounds.
