The Role You'll Contribute

The Cytotechnologist performs anatomical pathology procedures as licensed. Requires the exercise of independent judgment under minimum supervision. Work involves procedures that require a high degree of theoretical and practical knowledge in licensed area(s). Adheres to the AdventHealth Compliance Plan and to all applicable laws and accrediting bodies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and maintains respectful relationships.

The Value You'll Bring To The Team

• Performs analytical activities related to microscopic evaluation and reporting of negative gynecological thin layer slide preparations and microscopic evaluation and formulation of an opinion for the pathologist of abnormal gynecological thin layer, non-gynecological, and fine needle aspiration slide preparations.
• Correlates current cases with previous cytologic specimens where indicated.
• Performs pre- and post-analytical activities related to tests assigned, including specimen collection and processing, quality control, equipment maintenance, inventory control, quality assurance, and proficiency testing procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• Certified Cytotechnologist (ASCP)
