We're hiring a
Staff Engineer
to lead agentic system development across both internal operations and new venture builds. This is a senior IC role focused on designing and delivering AI-native infrastructure with speed and precision.
You'll work closely with technical leadership and future founders to bring real-world systems to life-and define what AI-native means in healthcare innovation. What You'll Do Build foundational AI systems:
Architect and ship tools that transform institutional knowledge into dynamic, usable systems across multiple ventures. Lead from zero to one:
Own architecture, implementation, and delivery for high-leverage projects across knowledge graphs, semantic search, and agentic workflows. Collaborate across domains:
Work with internal operators and external founders to validate ideas, build prototypes, and turn concepts into real products. Raise the bar:
Set technical standards for speed, scale, and quality in a fast-moving, high-trust engineering culture. Drive measurable impact:
Build systems that don't just demonstrate capability-they serve patients, providers, and real users at scale. What You Bring 8+ years in full-stack engineering roles, primarily as a senior IC Proven 0-to-1 builder with startup experience in high-growth, venture-backed environments Ability to drive key technical decisions and execute with minimal oversight; former founders or CTOs are a plus Degree in CS or equivalent experience with top-tier technical output 2+ years building complex AI systems, beyond basic RAG or chatbot wrappers Hands-on with Python and AI/ML stacks: FastAPI, asyncio, LangGraph, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Docker, AWS Bonus: Experience with pre-LLM knowledge graphs or domain-specific search systems How You Work High-ownership, outcomes-focused, and pragmatic Clear communicator with both technical and nontechnical peers Systems thinker with product instincts Energized by solving real-world healthcare problems with AI Comfortable designing for both human and AI interfaces What Sets You Apart You've built and shipped tools used at scale You proactively disrupt your own workflows with smarter automation You've pursued excellence in a field-technical or otherwise-that reflects depth and discipline You thrive in low-ego, high-talent environments Not a Fit If: You're looking for a pure management role-this is a hands-on IC position Your experience with AI is limited to basic integrations or tooling Interview Process Recruiter Screen (30 mins) Company Overview (30 mins) Technical Intro Call (45 mins) Live Technical Session (45 mins) Take-Home Project (7 days) Strategic Discussion with Leadership (30 mins) Final Interview with CEO (30 mins)
