Job 1: CNC Technician, Optical Polishing Shifts: 1st & 2nd Shift Working Hours: 1st Shift is typically 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM; 2nd Shift is typically 2:00 PM - 11:30 PM Pay Rate: 1st Shift $27.73/hr, 2nd Shift: $29.96/Hr.
Required Skills: CNC Technician, Optical Polishing
Attention to detail and ability to follow directions. Hands-on mechanical skills: disassembling/reassembling components, diagnosing issues. Strong geometry and trigonometry skills. Ability to work any shift, including compressed schedules. Multi-tasking skills to run multiple machines in a cell. Dexterity to handle delicate optical components. Job Description: CNC Technician, Optical Polishing
Manufacture precision optics and optical components. Read and interpret optical component drawings/specs including GD&T. Interpret interferograms, CMM reports, and other metrology data. Independently set up and operate polishing equipment, lathes, flycutters, and other manual/CNC machines. Perform bi-weekly maintenance on polishing machines. Use advanced testing equipment such as interferometers and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Collaborate closely with manufacturing engineering and technicians. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Job requires standing 80-90%, walking 10-20%, bending 20%, lifting
