Position Summary :

As a professional Class A truck driver, you will be responsible for the successful and timely delivery shipping containers to the various port of Oakland as well as other facilities in which the Adams Group conducts business. Truck drivers must always obey all safety protocols, follow all instructions, and must possess a strong work ethic and have exemplary communication skills.

Key Responsibilities Safe operation and control of KenWorth T800 Trucks Proper use of the Samsara ELD system by way of a mounted in can tablet. We will train new hires Drive trucks weighing more than 24 tons including tractor/trailer combinations Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions Couple or uncouple trailers and change landing gear positions, air, and electrical connections, and fifth-wheel locks Perform basic vehicle maintenance such as refuel, oil, fluids, minor repairs, etc. Pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections Report all issues or incidents to supervisor immediately Communication and interpersonal skills to work as a team Qualifications

Qualifications

Two Years Truck Driving experience preferred Valid Class A Driver's License Required TWIC card which is mandatory for port drayage No DUIor felony convictions less than three years old Hard work ethic, integrity, and responsible attitude Verbal written and Communication Ability to follow safety procedure and protocol
