Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Ultrasound Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 11/03/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking a General Ultrasound Technologist with at least 2 years of experience, ARDMS and BLS certification, for night shifts in an acute care, Level I trauma setting. Responsibilities Work in an acute care hospital setting designated as a Level I trauma center and Magnet facility Unit specializes in general ultrasound with adult and ER patient populations Night shift schedule: 4x10s, Monday through Thursday, 20:30-07:00 No weekend or on-call requirements No floating to other units required Cerner EMR is used; Cerner experience is preferred Perform general, OB/GYN, procedure-based, renal, small parts, transplant, and vascular ultrasound studies including abdominal aorta, appendix, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, spleen, bladder, ovaries, prostate, uterus, vaginal, superficial masses, scrotum, thyroid, renal studies, and vascular duplex studies Procedures include paracentesis and thoracentesis Work independently in a large hospital with 562 staffed beds First-time travelers are accepted Requests for time off ideally should not exceed 5 days Any solid color scrubs are acceptable Parking permit is required but provided at no cost and arranged during orientation Must meet hospital fingerprinting requirements prior to assignment Requirements Minimum of 2 years' experience as a General Ultrasound Tech required Active ARDMS and BLS certification required Experience in adult and emergency room ultrasound required Proficiency in abdominal, OB/GYN (first trimester), procedure-oriented, renal/pelvis, small parts, transplant, and vascular ultrasound Professional skills in isolation precautions and management/leadership required Must be able to arrive in Illinois 3 business days before compliance deadline for fingerprinting License required if applicable Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-618890.
