Overview

We’re partnering with a global chemical manufacturer seeking a hands-on Production Manager to lead daily operations for a fast-growing business unit. In this role, you’ll oversee an hourly production workforce, ensuring safe, high-quality, and efficient operations. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, you’ll collaborate closely with R&D, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

What You’ll Do

• Lead Plant Operations: Manage day-to-day production activities with a strong focus on safety, quality, and performance
• Promote Safety & Compliance: Maintain equipment, facilities, and processes to meet environmental, health, and safety standards
• Drive Process Improvement: Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools to reduce cycle times, eliminate waste, and lower costs
• Ensure Quality Standards: Deliver output that consistently meets specifications for product performance and appearance
• Optimize Performance: Develop processes that improve speed, uptime, safety, and total cost efficiency
• Build a High-Performing Team: Lead, coach, and develop hourly staff to achieve operational goals

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field
• 5–7 years of progressive manufacturing experience, ideally in the chemicals space, including at least 5 years in supervisory leadership
• Strong background in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
