Title: Data Analyst (with oil & gas background) Type: Contract to Hire Schedule: Hybrid - 3 days onsite weekly. Location: Houston, TX Overview: We are seeking a data-driven professional to support operational analytics and asset performance initiatives. This role will focus on developing and maintaining data models, analyzing maintenance activities, and delivering insights into equipment reliability and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Develop and refine datasets from operational platforms including CMMS, ERP, and SCADA systems Create dashboards and visual reports to monitor asset health, work order trends, and uptime/downtime metrics Lead the design and maintenance of tools for predictive and preventive maintenance tracking Collaborate across departments to define key performance indicators and address reporting gaps Ensure high standards of data accuracy through validation, documentation, and quality control processes Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field Proficiency in Python and SQL for data transformation and analysis Experience working with APIs and understanding integration protocols Familiarity with version control and collaborative development using GitHub Exposure to machine learning techniques is advantageous Industry experience in infrastructure, utilities, or energy sectors preferred Skilled in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Spotfire, Tableau, or Excel Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences Demonstrated organizational ability and customer service mindset Capable of working independently or within a team with minimal supervision Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities Effective communicator with strong written and verbal skills Seniority level: Associate Employment type: Contract Job function: Information Technology Industries: Oil and Gas #J-18808-Ljbffr
