This role is pivotal in managing, analyzing, and interpreting Asset and Location data within the IBM Maximo Asset Management System, supporting data-driven decision-making across maintenance, engineering, and IT functions.

You will play a critical role in maintaining data integrity, developing performance insights, and driving automation and reporting solutions that enhance operational efficiency and asset reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Data Management & Integrity

  • Collect, organize, and prepare data from multiple sources for integration into the Maximo system.
  • Map source data fields to Maximo data structures, ensuring proper data migration and consistency.
  • Validate, cleanse, and reconcile asset and location data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.

  • Establish data governance and quality control standards across asset management datasets.

Analysis & Reporting

  • Extract, clean, and analyze data from Maximo and other enterprise systems to generate actionable business insights.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and performance reports for asset utilization, maintenance trends, and reliability.
  • Identify and communicate data trends, patterns, and anomalies that support preventive and predictive maintenance.
  • Translate technical data findings into meaningful insights for non-technical stakeholders.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with maintenance, engineering, and IT teams to identify and fulfill data and reporting needs.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to streamline data entry, automate workflows, and enhance reporting efficiency.
  • Support system configuration changes, upgrades, and data migration initiatives related to Maximo.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for data-related inquiries, supporting both local and enterprise-level initiatives.

Training & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop training materials and deliver user training on Maximo data entry, reporting tools, and best practices.
  • Promote continuous improvement in data management processes and ensure adherence to organizational data policies.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to optimize asset lifecycle management and maintenance performance.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably within asset management, maintenance, or utilities sectors.
  • Equivalent of 8+ years of experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in IBM Maximo or similar Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems.
  • Advanced Excel (pivot tables, formulas, macros), SQL, and Power BI or equivalent visualization tools.
  • Knowledge of data governance, asset hierarchy management, and reliability-centered maintenance principles.
  • Understanding of maintenance workflows, asset lifecycle management, and work order processes.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to convey technical data to non-technical audiences.
  • Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high data quality standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification or training in IBM Maximo Administration, SQL Development, or Data Analytics (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Experience supporting large-scale data migration or system integration projects.
  • Familiarity with maintenance management, reliability engineering, or operations analytics frameworks.
