The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Hardware Design Engineer to join our team. This is a full-time position where you will play a critical role in the design and development of next-generation data network equipment. You will be responsible for the entire hardware lifecycle, from initial concept to final product integration and testing. Key Responsibilities Hardware Architecture and System Specification: Define and develop hardware architectures and system-level specifications for high-speed data network products. Board and System-Level Design: Lead the design and development of complex high-speed circuit boards, including component selection, schematic capture, and layout supervision. Hardware Integration and Test: Oversee the integration of hardware components and conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure functionality and performance. PCB Design and Debugging: Apply expertise in complex high-speed PCB layout methodologies and debugging techniques to resolve issues and optimize performance. High-Speed Circuit Design: Design and analyze circuits supporting data rates up to 800Gbps Qualifications Education : BS in Electronic/Electrical Engineering /MS preferred Experience: 5+ years of direct related experience. Circuit Design: Extensive experience in analog, digital, and high-speed circuit design, schematic capture. PCB Design: Proficient in specifying complex PCB board level design. This includes specifying high speed printed circuit board layout guidelines and component placement, overseeing complex high-speed PCB layout, signal integrity analysis, and hands-on board bring-up and debug. Validation and Testing : Experienced in developing and executing detailed validation plans to test hardware components and systems. This includes experience with lab instruments like oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network traffic generators. Embedded Systems: Strong knowledge of embedded hardware systems and circuits, including microcontrollers, microprocessors, and memory technologies. Firmware and Software Integration : Understanding how hardware components interact with firmware and software, and the ability to collaborate effectively with software engineers. Problem-Solving: The ability to perform complex troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and provide effective solutions for hardware and system-level issues. Skills : Ability to lead hardware integration, testing, and debug efforts. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
