Accounting Supervisor Job at The Black Dog Tavern, Co. in Mashpee

We are seeking an Accounting Supervisor to lead the daily accounting operations for our multi-unit retail, foodservice, and e-commerce business. This role is designed for an ambitious accounting professional who wants hands-on experience with complex operations — including inventory, cost of goods sold, and multi-entity reporting — while building toward an Accounting Manager or Controller role. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and support daily accounting activities: accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger. Manage inventory accounting across multiple business units: reconciliations, transfers, shrink, and valuation. Oversee monthly close, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow. Consolidate results across multiple stores, restaurants, and e-commerce channels. Partner with leadership to improve processes, strengthen internal controls, and implement systems. Mentor and develop accounting staff while still acting as a “working lead.” Provide analysis to support decision-making on operations, margins, and capital use.
