Real Estate Transactional Secretary
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Schedule: Hybrid (4 days in office / 1 day remote)
Compensation: $90,000 - $105,000 + benefits
About the Opportunity
A leading law firm is seeking a Real Estate Transactional Secretary to join its Los Angeles office. This role provides dedicated support to 4-5 attorneys handling sophisticated transactions across acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, development, and financing for high-profile clients in the retail, office, multifamily, and mixed-use sectors.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and skilled at managing the logistics of complex real estate matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, redline, and finalize real estate documents including purchase agreements, leases, title commitments, and closing packages.
- Utilize document comparison tools and track changes for accurate version control.
- Assemble closing binders, signature packets, and transaction checklists.
- Coordinate with title companies, escrow agents, lenders, and clients to ensure timely documentation.
- Manage attorney calendars, meetings, and travel arrangements.
- Maintain electronic and physical filing systems for real property matters.
- Enter attorney time, billing, and expenses into firm systems.
- Provide general administrative support to attorneys and paralegals.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a law firm real estate or transactional support role.
- Proficiency in iManage document management system (required).
- Strong skills in Microsoft Word (styles, templates), Excel, Outlook, and redlining/editing.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
