Overview The Country Club of Virginia is looking for a talented Retail Shop Manager for its Racquet Sports Division. CCV is a full-service private club located in Richmond, Virginia, and is perpetually recognized as one of the top clubs in America as a result of its remarkable membership, world-class facilities, and exceptional staff. The Pro Shop Manager provides a consistently high level of personal service to the members, guests, and employees while maintaining a clean and safe working environment, responding to and anticipating needs, providing lateral support to staff, and promoting an environment of continual learning, training, and improvement. Responsibilities Provide Platinum Service to members, guests, and co-workers Complete opening and closing procedures to ensure the shop is ready for business during normal operating hours Assist members with shop purchases while also addressing complaints and concerns that may arise Inform members about programs and upcoming events at CCV Schedule court times/league play, register members for tournaments and receive sign-ups for clinics Handle all aspects with purchasing, monthly inventory and stock valuation, creating displays, and maintaining the shop's overall appearance standards Handle all communication of Racquet Sports news and events through the Club's website, Club Columns, etc., and assist in activities related to Racquet Sports Advisory Committee business as well as represent the department on the CCV Safety Committee Oversee the Club's racquet repair program; maintain the daily stringing schedule of work and the stringing database Operate NorthStar POS computer system Handle all aspects of recruiting, staffing and retention of Racquet Sport staff Develop and train new employees as well as current staff Attend departmental meetings and professional development programs Qualifications College degree or equivalent work experience Retail or customer service experience required Experience with racquet stringing machine preferred CPR Certification or ability to obtain certification Club Profile The Country Club of Virginia is a private, single-privilege membership club located in Richmond, Virginia.
