Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic located in Grimes, IA. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting issues. The role involves diagnosing mechanical problems, conducting inspections, and ensuring equipment is in optimal working condition to support the needs of our customers.
Qualifications
- Experience in Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, and Maintenance & Repair of equipment
- In-depth knowledge of Heavy Equipment and Troubleshooting skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Relevant certifications or training in heavy equipment maintenance are a plus
- Previous experience in the solid waste industry or similar field is beneficial
