Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer with a strong CNC machine shop background to lead process development, support quoting and estimating, and ensure products meet demanding quality standards. This role bridges engineering, production, and customer interaction, offering an opportunity to make a direct impact on both operations and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for precision CNC machining.
  • Design fixtures, tooling, and process improvements using SolidWorks CAD.
  • Create and maintain manufacturing routings, work instructions, and documentation.
  • Support estimating and quoting by analyzing designs and determining time, cost, and material requirements.
  • Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot technical issues and drive efficiency.
  • Utilize ERP systems to manage and track processes and workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO9001/AS9100 standards and customer requirements.
  • Engage with customers to clarify technical needs and provide process insight.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across engineering, operations, and business practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Proven background in a CNC machine shop environment (multi-axis machining preferred).
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD for fixture and process design.
  • Strong understanding of machining principles, manufacturing processes, and process optimization.
  • Experience with estimating, quoting, and ERP systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and computer proficiency.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; customer-facing experience a plus.
  • Familiarity with ISO9001 or AS9100 quality systems.
  • Strong math skills, practical problem-solving ability, and technical acumen.
