Pay Range: $18.00 HOURLY

Job Summary

Summary: WE ARE SEEKING A DEPENDABLE AND HARDWORKING CULINARY PORTER TO SUPPORT OUR CULINARY AND HOSPITALITY TEAMS DURING UTAH JAZZ&UTAH MAMMOTH EVENTS. THE CULINARY PORTER WILL ASSIST WITH PRODUCT ORGANIZATION, FOOD PREP, DISHWASHING, EQUIPMENT CLEANING, AND MAINTAINING CLEANLINESS IN THE KITCHEN AND SERVICE AREAS. THIS ROLE IS ESSENTIAL TO ENSURING SMOOTH OPERATIONS, ADHERENCE TO SANITATION STANDARDS, AND A POSITIVE GUEST EXPERIENCE. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE IS DETAIL-ORIENTED, ORGANIZED, AND CAPABLE OF WORKING IN A FAST-PACED SPORTS ENVIRONMENT.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, service areas including floors, counters, and appliances.
• Stock replenishment and storage of supplies.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
• Properly handle and dispose of waste and recyclables.
• Assist with delivery and distribution of supplies as needed.
• Assist culinary staff with basic food prep tasks as directed.
• Assist dishwasher wash, sanitize and organize dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment.
• Support team members in daily operations to ensure efficiency and cleanliness.

Qualifications&Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Previous experience in kitchen, dish room, or food service environment preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently and follow instructions.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Ability to work quickly in high-pressure environment.
• Good physical stamina- standing, lifting, bending, and moving for extended periods of time.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of food safety protocols is a plus.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays based around event schedule.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly and efficiently.
• Must obtain valid Utah Food Handlers Permit or Manager Food Safety Certificate.
