Job Details – Maine Emergency Room RN Contract

• Location: Lewiston, ME 04240 – Explore Maine's welcoming healthcare community
• Facility: Cecile J. Coulomb Emergency Center & Chest Pain Center
• Start Date: October 27, 2025
• End Date: January 26, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 7p–7a (12-hour night shifts), 3 shifts/week
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2020–$2070 per week
• Employment Type: Locum tenens travel nursing contract

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (no disciplinary actions)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of emergency room nursing experience
• At least 1 year of critical care nursing experience
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of Lewiston, Maine
• Not a previous employee of St. Mary's

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients upon admission and throughout their stay
• Administer IV medications, therapies, and blood products
• Deliver patient education and emotional support
• Document nursing care, teaching, observations, and patient responses
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide high-quality emergency care

Note: Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid. St. Mary's reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract.
