Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Travel Nursing Job in Cedar Rapids, Iowa

ER RN Job Details:

• Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Start Date: October 27, 2025
• End Date: January 26, 2026
• Healthcare Setting: Emergency & Trauma Unit
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour shifts; afternoon and overnight (11:00 AM – 11:30 PM and 3:00 PM – 3:30 AM, based on department needs)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holiday rotation if scheduled
• Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52402
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1880 - $2020

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years recent Emergency Room nursing experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Active Iowa Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), TNCC, NIHSS, MOAB or CPI (MOAB highly preferred; must obtain during onboarding if not already certified)
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Submission of work history/resume, recent skills checklist (within 1 year), license verification, required certifications, and at least one supervisory reference from within the past 2 years
• Proof of taxable address (driver’s license, utility bill, lease, etc.)

ER Nurse Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in a busy Emergency & Trauma healthcare setting
• Assess, triage, and prioritize patient care based on acuity
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Accurately document patient care using EPIC EMR
• Respond to emergency situations and provide life-saving nursing interventions
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
