Overview
A client is seeking to onboard an IT Support Specialist for a six-month contract-to-hire role, with the expectation of working onsite five days a week. The position is with a leading infrastructure construction and engineering firm in North America, known for its expertise in designing and building critical infrastructure such as highways, bridges, rail systems, dams, aviation facilities, and water management projects. The selected individual will be responsible for providing remote support to approximately 150 employees and desk-side support to around 40 onsite staff. All support inquiries will be managed through the company’s internal proprietary system. They are looking for someone who wants to grow in their career.
Responsibilities
- Provide remote and desk-side IT support for a mixed user base (approx. 150 remote users and 40 onsite users).
- Manage user setups, password resets, and Active Directory administration.
- Support printer infrastructure and general Windows administration.
- Assist with onboarding processes and coordinate with internal teams via the proprietary ticketing system.
- Handle multiple support issues simultaneously with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in IT support.
- Hands-on experience using ticketing systems to manage support requests.
- Demonstrated success in previous IT support roles.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory, Windows OS, printer management, and mobile devices.
- AV and video conferencing exposure strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently.
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid Driver's License.
