Rohde & Schwarz USA, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer in our Columbia, MD location to provide strategic direction, coordination, and oversite of R&D projects within our secure communication, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance business unit. Top applicants will possess strong project management experience in entrepreneurial environments, a demonstrated ability to communicate and inspire across teams and functions, technical and entrepreneurial gravitas, and experience managing products through the entire product lifecycle. Responsibilities

Lead and manage R&D projects, overseeing planning, execution, and successful completion. Assist in new product definition and development, from initial idea and research through design, testing, and market launch, ensuring a seamless transition between phases. Develop comprehensive project plans that outline scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and budgets, while monitoring progress and adjusting as necessary. Communicate project progress, challenges, and strategic direction to stakeholders at all levels, fostering transparency, and ensuring alignment and support. Monitor industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes to inform project direction and maintain the company\'s competitive edge. Maximize the impact of R&D investments by developing and executing strategic plans and roadmaps that drive innovation and growth. Conduct risk analysis to identify potential risks and challenges within projects and develop effective mitigation strategies. Ensure R&D activities comply with internal processes and industry standards and regulations, including proper documentation and protection of intellectual property. Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate project success and drive continuous improvement. Your Qualifications

B.S. in engineering or relevant technical degree. 5+ years\' experience in Project or Program Management. PMP preferred. Ability to create well organized clear presentations of information in Office (Word, PowerPoint). Proficiency in MS Office Suite and MS Project for reporting and program planning. Detail oriented, analytical, and highly organized. US citizenship or permanent work authorization is required. Compensation and Benefits

The total compensation for this position is $140K-$180K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills. Benefits
