We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator to take ownership of servers, workstations, software systems, and cybersecurity programs. This role combines hands-on IT work with opportunities to influence technology strategy, including software licensing, troubleshooting, vendor coordination, and compliance with standards such as NIST CMMC 2.0. You’ll work across multiple systems, supporting end users and ensuring IT operations run smoothly and securely. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and skilled at balancing day-to-day IT responsibilities with planning for future technology needs. Responsibilities
Maintain, upgrade, and monitor servers, workstations, and network hardware. Install, configure, and retire desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices. Administer software licensing and deployment for Microsoft 365, Autodesk, Bluebeam, Adobe, Tekla, RAM Systems, and other enterprise applications. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and coordinate with software vendors as needed. Monitor and mitigate cybersecurity threats, implementing data loss prevention and backup strategies. Support NIST CMMC 2.0 compliance and assist with reporting requirements for Department of Defense contracts. Provide guidance and training on technology tools, software use, and security best practices. Administer Microsoft Teams, including developing custom channels and collaboration workflows. Track IT inventory, plan hardware upgrades, and manage lifecycle planning. Assist with developing a technology roadmap to support long-term IT strategy. Provide after-hours support for critical IT issues as needed. Qualifications
3–7+ years of experience in IT systems administration, IT management, or IT operations. Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, networking, and enterprise software management. Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and NIST CMMC 2.0 compliance. Experience managing software licensing across multiple enterprise applications. Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and respond to urgent IT issues. Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred. Relevant certifications are strongly encouraged: Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator CompTIA Security+ or Network+ ITIL Foundation CMMC / NIST compliance training (preferred) Why This Role Stands Out
