The Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Boston (JCRC) is a coalition of organizations and individuals that represents and advances the values, interests, and priorities of the organized Jewish community in Greater Boston. Through our network of agencies, our programs, and our partnerships, we:

The
Community Engagement Program Manager
is a strategic, relationship-driven professional responsible for deepening community connections between the Jewish community and civic partners and driving impactful programming—particularly in the areas of
Holocaust remembrance and education, and advancing the public affairs portfolio. This role blends
program leadership ,
partnership development , and
collaborative planning . It is ideal for a mission-aligned professional with experience in managing people and coalitions, building consensus, and delivering programs that engage a broad range of stakeholders. This position reports to the
Chief of Public Affairs and Community Relations
and is based in the
Boston metropolitan area . JCRC operates on a
hybrid work model , with employees in-office
three days per week . Key Responsibilities
Community Engagement & Stakeholder Leadership
Design and implement engaging programs that strengthen Jewish community involvement and civic connection Build and steward partnerships with lay leaders, Jewish organizations, and civic partners Represent JCRC in public and civic spaces to ensure the Jewish community’s voice is heard and respected Manage volunteer committees and working groups, facilitating collaborative planning and meaningful participation Develop and maintain relationships with civic partners and public institutions, advocating for issues aligned with JCRC’s values Collaborate with local organizations on initiatives that enhance JCRC’s visibility and community impact Holocaust Education & Commemoration
Lead all aspects of Yom HaShoah, Greater Boston’s annual Holocaust Commemoration, including committee leadership and engagement, program design and execution, budget, logistics, communications, and partner relations Oversee educational initiatives at the New England Holocaust Memorial (NEHM): docent program, program enhancements, and educational materials Support other Holocaust remembrance events, such as International Holocaust Remembrance Day and Yizkor Services Program Strategy, Data, and Development Support
Develop systems and processes to ensure consistent, high-quality program delivery Track and analyze program data to evaluate impact and report outcomes to leadership, board, and funders Collaborate with development staff to support donor engagement, grant reporting, and program visibility Requirements
5+ years of relevant experience in community engagement, coalition building, nonprofit program management, or education Experience managing volunteers, committees, or small teams with an inclusive, collaborative approach Stays informed about important public policy and government updates at the state and local level, and is eager to engage when it matters to the community Strong communication and facilitation skills across diverse audiences Proven ability to represent an organization externally and build strategic civic relationships Deep commitment to Holocaust remembrance, Jewish communal values, and public service Strong project management skills and comfort balancing multiple complex initiatives Proficiency with standard office tools (Microsoft Office, Google Suite); CRM or data tools a plus Compensation and Benefits
