Senior Systems Administrator role at Government Tactical Solutions, LLC. Security Clearance: TS/SCI w/ CI Polygraph (MUST HAVE ACTIVE CLEARANCE). Location: Riverdale, MD. Job Type: Full-Time. Target Salary Range: $150,000 - $180,000. Responsibilities

Overall System Administrator Responsibilities Include Server Administration & Management: Oversee and manage both virtual and physical servers for enterprise, regional, and local systems. Install, configure, document, maintain, and provide ongoing support of server environments hosting mission-critical applications and infrastructure services. Database Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Oracle Database systems. Perform backups, restores, performance tuning, monitor health, analyze performance metrics, and troubleshoot issues to ensure smooth operations. System Configuration & Software Support: Install and configure operating systems, database software (Oracle), and application software across physical and virtual servers. Ensure software integration supports enterprise applications. Performance Optimization & Resource Management: Monitor and optimize CPU, memory, disk usage, and response times. Implement proactive measures to address bottlenecks and troubleshoot system issues related to resource usage. System Security & Compliance: Ensure systems and databases meet security standards and regulatory requirements. Enforce security policies, conduct vulnerability assessments, and manage updates and patches for OS and database environments. Incident & Problem Management: Provide Tier 1/2 support, troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve system and database issues. Respond to outages, coordinate recovery, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. System Maintenance & Upgrades: Plan and execute scheduled maintenance, upgrades, and new releases. Install and test patches for operating systems and database applications (e.g., Oracle). Backup & Disaster Recovery: Oversee and validate regular backups. Ensure data integrity and test restoration procedures for disaster recovery. Collaboration & User Interaction: Work with cross-functional teams and external partners to install and configure server systems and support integrations. Provide user support and consult on complex technical problems. Documentation & Knowledge Management: Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, hardware, software, and processes. Provide clear reporting for troubleshooting, maintenance, and security audits. Training & Knowledge Sharing: Train and mentor staff on server and database management best practices. Develop training materials for operators. Cross-Platform Support: Provide support for Windows, Linux, and UNIX-based servers with focus on application and database performance, troubleshooting, and configurations. Qualifications

Clearance:

TS/SCI with Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph required. Education & Experience:

BA/BS degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Systems Administration Experience:

Proven experience in system administration, specifically with Oracle Database management, Windows, Linux (RHEL and Ubuntu), and UNIX in classified environments. Oracle Database Expertise:

Hands-on experience with Oracle Database installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Certifications:

Currently valid DoD 8570 Certification like Security+ CE, CASP, CISSP or similar security certification. Technical Proficiency:

Experience managing both virtual and physical servers, performing system monitoring, backup management, and implementing performance optimizations. Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration Linux and Windows System Administration certification(s) DoDIIS Messaging experience Experience installing/configuring and managing/supporting PostgreSQL and Oracle databases in a classified environment Experience performing system admin duties in the C2S/AWS environment Ability to work after hours and weekends, when needed for deployments Solid understanding of remediating security vulnerabilities and experience hardening Linux and Windows systems in accordance with RMF and STIGs Experience with scripting (PL/SQL, UNIX shell scripting such as k, c, bash) Experience with DIA systems Python scripting experience Knowledge of Linux, Windows, and WebLogic servers Familiarity with DODIIS security/builds Knowledge of enterprise-level VMware products Knowledge of API Services (DPaaS), OpenShift4, CI/CD, Oracle Fusion Middleware, WebLogic 12C
