3-6 Month Contract; potential extension will not consider relocation candidates; must be local and able to interview onsite Overview: A well-established insurance and organization is looking for a Data Visualization & Analytics Lead to join their digital transformation team. This role focuses on transforming complex datasets into strategic insights through data visualization, analytics, and storytelling. You’ll play a key role in driving data-driven decision making across multiple business units. Key Responsibilities: Design and deliver Tableau dashboards and visual analytics that clearly communicate trends, KPIs, and business performance. Manage a queue of analytical requests and visualization projects, ensuring timely delivery and prioritization based on business impact. Collaborate with product, engineering, and UX teams to translate business needs into effective data solutions. Gather and model data from multiple internal systems, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and consistency. Conduct root cause analysis, identify performance drivers, and support cost-benefit and impact assessments. Present findings and recommendations to both technical and executive audiences through compelling visuals and clear narratives. Support ongoing digital initiatives by tracking results, identifying insights, and maintaining performance scorecards. Qualifications: 3+ years of advanced Tableau experience with a portfolio showcasing interactive and insightful dashboards. 2+ years of SQL experience, including writing complex queries and optimizing data extraction for reporting. Strong communication and data storytelling abilities, with experience engaging non-technical stakeholders. Tableau certification and/or experience leading or participating in Tableau user groups preferred. Familiarity with analytics tools such as Google Analytics 4, Heap, Redshift, or Tealium is a plus. Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
