Boston, MA
office.
Responsibilities
Serve as a key member of a highly integrated, collaborative team on challenging high-profile design and construction projects.
Understand client needs and execute projects to achieve client and company goals.
Develop work scopes and cost estimates for new opportunities.
Manage financial and technical aspects of projects and effectively assign and manage work.
Execute projects to meet technical, quality, budgetary and scheduling requirements.
Plan and direct geotechnical field observation and testing programs.
Conduct geotechnical analyses and prepare recommendations for design and construction projects (deep foundations, embankments, ground improvement, retaining walls).
Collaborate effectively in a single profit center, team-oriented and collaborative environment.
Prepare project deliverables including reports, plans and specifications.
Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills for client deliverables and regulatory submittals.
Provide coaching and mentoring to team members.
Qualifications
Master's degree in geotechnical engineering.
Licensed Professional Engineer in Massachusetts or eligible for reciprocity within six months.
Minimum of 8 years of geotechnical experience including site investigation, laboratory testing, geotechnical analysis, and construction support, including professional services consulting.
Minimum of 2 years of experience managing geotechnical engineering projects from proposal to construction.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organization and attention to detail.
Proficiency in writing, reviewing, and editing technical reports to meet scope and quality objectives and client expectations.
Strong computer literacy with industry-standard software.
OSHA 40-hr. HAZWOPER strongly preferred.
Compensation The salary range for this position in
Boston, MA
is
$110,000 - $127,000
annually. Actual compensation will be based on education, experience, certificates, skills, and market conditions. Haley & Aldrich reviews salary ranges quarterly to assess competitiveness.
