Healthy Kids is a growing provider of Early Learning, Before and After School, and Summer Camp Programs with over 100 locations. We are a certified benefit corporation on a mission to reinvent accessible and affordable childcare. We are seeking a dynamic Director to lead the Van Schaik Elementary Program in Cahoes, NY. The Director will be the driving force behind every aspect of the operation of the Healthy Kids Program Site. JOB STATUS:

Part-Time, Non-Exempt SCHEDULE:

7am-8:45am and 3:00pm-5:30pm PAY:

$17.00 per hour Responsibilities

Guiding Compliance: Ensure that both staff and program adhere to OCFS guidelines, Healthy Kids policies, and the rules set by our host school. Bringing the Fun: Direct engaging hands-on activities based on the Healthy Kids Curriculum, covering fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and more. Include homework completion as part of the program. Managing Like a Boss: Take charge of essential management tasks, including maintaining accurate attendance and registration records, and ensuring proper staffing levels to keep the program running smoothly. Keeping Everyone in the Loop: Maintain open lines of communication with parents and family members through the Playground App. Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with your direct report, ensuring they are up to speed on daily occurrences and addressing issues in a timely manner. Qualifications and Education

To be qualified as a director, a person must possess either: Two years of college with 18 credits in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation or a related field; and two years of direct experience working with children under 13, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity in a child care program or related field of work. A New York State Children’s Program Administrator Credential; and two years of direct experience working with children under 13, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity in a child care program or related field of work. A School-Age Child Care Credential or another office-recognized credential specific to the school-age developmental period; and two years of direct experience working with children under 13, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity in a child care program or related field of work. An Associate’s degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation or a related field; and two years of direct experience working with children under 13, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity in a child care program or related field of work. Additional Qualifications

Medically fit to perform job duties and free of communicable diseases including TB, with health clearance from a physician. Warm, friendly, upbeat demeanor with strong people skills for interactions with kiddos, parents, and team members; professional, reliable, and punctual. Physical ability to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs to keep up with energetic children. Part-time Perks
