Head Cheerleading Coach (SY25-26, High School)
Veritas Prep High School is seeking a Head Cheerleading Coach for the 2025-26 school year. You\'ll help build a strong sports program in its founding year and develop student athletes in knowledge, physical skill, teamwork, leadership, and social and emotional growth. The position includes a stipend of $2600. What You'll Do
Help develop student athletes in knowledge, physical skill, teamwork, leadership, and social and emotional growth. Provide opportunities for young men and women to maximize their potential. Be present at all practices and games, including while traveling, and provide guidance and safeguards for participants. Complete and submit paperwork on all disabling athletic injuries on proper forms. Direct student managers and statisticians on respective teams. Plan and implement in-season and out-of-season conditioning and weight programs. Maintain discipline and work to increase morale and cooperation within the school sports program. Attend public/staff/departmental meetings when required. Coordinate with maintenance and school employees and safeguard equipment and sites. Monitor student athletes\' grades and conduct. Monitor use and return of equipment and submit an annual inventory. Submit team records to Athletic Director, including awards lists, forms, and scores of each competition, including post-season play. Arrive early before practices/contests and stay after to help players or participate in staff discussions. Plan and implement in-season and out-of-season conditioning and weight programs. Perform other duties consistent with the position as requested by Principal/Athletic Director. Requirements
Previous coaching experience in the assigned sport (preferred). Knowledge and background in the assigned sport. An unwavering belief that all students can achieve amazing things. A dedication to fighting racism in education and daily life; knowledge of the history of race and racism and systems of oppression students face. Current authorization to work in the United States by first day of employment. Benefits and Compensation
